First commercial vehicle technician with MOT

For our workshop in Meerkerk, we are looking for an independent mechanic who, in a team, sees a challenge in his work and works in a solution-oriented way. Using the latest techniques and equipment to help mainly heavy commercial vehicles get back on the road as quickly as possible.

Job description

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on vehicles that have been assigned after consultation with the Workshop Chief, independently and within the set time;
• Independently detect mechanical and electrical faults and make a diagnosis, then remedy these faults within the set time;
• Carrying out APK inspections independently;
• Taking responsibility for the work to be performed in order to create a win-win situation between the customer and the company;
• The correct completion of work orders, time registration, documentation belonging to the vehicles and official documents (MOT registration forms, tachograph registration forms, etc.);
• Inform the Workshop Manager in a timely manner about the progress of the work;
• Keeping the technical knowledge required for the performance of the work up-to-date, by following internal and external training courses;
• Dealing with the vehicles and equipment in a neat and orderly manner, partly by using the available protective equipment;
• Carrying out test drives to check the work performed;
• Supervising student mechanics and trainees if necessary;
